Our Mission

Asheville is unlike anywhere else. It’s a city of artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, hikers, volunteers, craft brewers, makers, and neighbors who value creativity, kindness, and community. That spirit deserves a place where people can easily find one another and share real experiences.

Asheville Pulse was created in Asheville, for Asheville. We’re not a distant tech company or a global social platform optimized for screen time. We’re a local company with a simple goal: to strengthen the community we call home.

Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life. People are learning from it, creating with it, and talking to it more than ever. Asheville Pulse isn’t pro-AI or anti-AI—we simply believe that as technology grows more present, real human connection becomes more important.

That’s why Asheville Pulse is human-first by design. Every feature is built to help people meet face-to-face through shared interests, events, clubs, volunteer opportunities, and local activities. You’ll find neighbors instead of bots, conversations instead of algorithms, and experiences that happen in the real world.

We also believe community access should be open. That’s why Asheville Pulse is free for everyone—hosts and members alike—so we can focus on real connections instead of paywalls. Our goal is to remove barriers and help more people connect locally, starting in places like Asheville and growing outward. While we may introduce sustainable pricing in the future, it will always reflect our local roots and never resemble the extractive models of large, out-of-town platforms.

Our mission is simple: to help the people of Asheville meet, build friendships, support local organizations and businesses, and create a stronger, more connected community.

Because the future shouldn’t only be smarter. It should be more human.
